A shelf was needed to liven up some empty space above a new couch. We designed a handsome floating shelf so there wouldn’t be any conspicuous hardware distracting from the art and photos to be displayed on it. In order to keep it light it was made from oak plywood and solid wood edging as a torsion box design - strong enough to keep it solid for years to come. All the frames were also built in house as a part of the project.
